After 20+ years working in social services across Waterloo Region, I am very proud that I had the courage to pursue my dream of working in Real Estate. I left all the stability of a great job (salary, benefits, pension and 12; count ‘em 12, weeks of paid vacation) to leap into a commissioned sales job! I brought my passion and a strong skill set to this crazy world of sales and marketing in 2013 and have never looked back.
My social work background was an important part of my journey to becoming an award-winning Real Estate Agent at Royal LePage Crown Realty. Social work strengthened my skill set to work with people in a gentle and compassionate way, while strongly supporting them through significant changes and decisions in their lives. My previous career required tough negotiating and direct approaches that I also draw from when advocating for my clients. Very few decisions are as big as buying or selling your biggest investment so I am able to listen and respond to the needs of my clients, build trust in a powerful way and support them in the process from start to finish.
Growing up in Kitchener, and then raising my own family in Cambridge, I really KNOW the Tri-City Real Estate community and the market trends affecting it. I have an excellent knowledge of Waterloo, Kitchener, Cambridge, and the surrounding township areas and together we will work within your budget, and meet your needs including housing features, community aspects, school preferences, environmental factors, and commute logistics.
Taking a big leap requires inner strength and a great support system and I am thankful for mine. I have been married to the love of my life, Dennis, for over 30 years. We have two amazing grown daughters whom I adore (they also helped develop my negotiation skills!). My sweet Springer Spaniel, Libby, brings me great joy and has led me to the discovery of amazing trails and green spaces in our community. Blessed with wonderful life long friends and a great love for my community, I have found a meaningful way now to pay it forward to others in my professional career.
One of my favourite things to do is research and explore. Whether it be a local new restaurant to try out with my friends or finding your next home, I will go the extra mile to find what you are looking for or get you top dollar for your existing home. My family and friends will tell you I don’t relax easily, so you can be assured that when I work with you, I am “all-in” and fully committed to providing the best customer service while you are making the biggest investment of your life. I am excited to join the Lisa Harlock Group team as a Sales Representative and Lisa’s Client Care Coordinator. I have always loved real estate and finding my first clients their first home was so affirming! I had made the right choice! This was one of my proudest moments as a Realtor, as I know the joy it brings to help someone achieve a defining moment like owning their first home. I became a Realtor in 2013 and have been building my business. Working with Lisa is going to take it to a whole new level!
My own journey to this point has not been without personal challenges. I became an unexpected widow when my three boys were young, and that has shaped and affected much of my life’s journey and purpose. Raising my boys as a single mom has strengthened my resiliency and defined my life, and they continue to be my greatest joy!
My boys are getting older now and I am focusing, more than ever, on my career. Working with Lisa is a wonderful opportunity for me to grow and establish myself in the community as a Realtor in a more predominant way.
